triathlon

okay, i haven't posted on a triathlon in a long time....because i haven't done one in a long time!

this saturday is the first of season. it is in Kemah, Texas. the weather should be nice, although actually a little chilly in the morning. i do think that it is funny that we pay money to get up SUPER early on a saturday to then swim, bike, and run a specified distance. it is great fun!

on my trip, i definitely was reminded that triathlon is just a hobby....it isn't necessary for life and can easily become a distraction or even an idol (just like anything can). this year, i'm going to stick to shorter races so that all my time isn't spent in the pool or on a bike. if i do a 70.3, it will be at the end of the season.

i don't have high hopes for this saturday. i'm feeling pretty good, despite the 3+ weeks away. i'm sure i'll be wishing that i had been in the pool and on the bike more recently though!
